TangoTanto is forming the non conventional Tango to sustain the existing ballet dancer and to promote Tango to a new generation. The evolution of the - no conventional Tango - sustains all the forms of Argentinian Tango. In this dance it often seems to be us factions that still sustain a style or the other, a specific music or another. We sustain that all the styles and all the musical passages are vital. The Tango is conceived in different styles: salon, milonguero, canyengue, viejo, etc. Everything is relative only to a name... TANGO. We don't accept one any of these styles as the true Tango. To try, to choose one only of these and to sustain it as authentic, it is from foolish. We believe besides that it cannot dance only a style, it is not defined. But which tango can be defined then? Anybody because the Tango is an evolving, it is a vernacular dance. It doesn't belong to a group or to a culture, it doesn't only belong to the Argentinians. We respect the origins of the tango and the city that has given it life, that has evolved and will continue to evolve, inside and out Argentina. Respecting and studying the past, we can enjoy the present and build the future. As it regards the Music, the evolution of the non conventional tango sustains all the musical forms. We don't accept that the only music of the vital tango, that created between 1930 and 1950, the so called - Gilded Age of the Tango - is the only one and binding. The music continues to evolve, in the moment in which the dance continues to evolve. If Pugliese had been born December 2 nd 1975 rather than December 2 nd 1905 would have had an opportunity? Would Charles Libedinsky (Narcotango) have had the same opportunities in the composition so as Osvaldo Pugliese has had them? The new composers should not be penalized only because they are born in a different epoch. Their expression of the Tango is valid in the moment in which they live their epoch. We are not immigrant in a new country, alone and poor. We don't bring knives for protection. The men in the actual epoch don't overcome the women in proportion of 20 to 1, in other words, we cannot dance as they danced, because we don't have the same life as they had. The tango is a world dance, every country brings its own cultures in the tango and represents a "dialogue" of different tango. What is done in Buenos Aires is of great interest, but it cannot slavishly be applied to our experiences. Mauricio Castro proves it, founder of the TangoDiscovery, n°1 in the tango of avant-garde. We are not iconoclasts who want to break with the past, in this case this inheritance is rich of dance, of tango and of music. We don't simply want the dance, the music or the culture but the evolution, that includes and it celebrates the past, that we can influence to reach the future.
